A Lt. and his Captain bond through training[Kaien only]

It was a peaceful and quite day in the barracks of the Gotei 13's 8th squad. In the squad dormitories you could see the Lt. of the squad rising up from the bed with a small smile on his face. Today Kyo and his boss, the captain of the squad, Kaien were going to train. Kaien had told Kyo that he would teach him a secret sword style that is known to very few due to its secrecy. Kyo had arrived at the squad's training ground early to get in some pr-training practice in.

Kyo was a master as the quick draw and wanted to be even better at it. After all he was the commander of the detention unit, he was already a master at hand to hand combat as it was required for someone of his position. So he figured he'd further his sword fighting skills. Kyo set up several wooden posts around him.

Kyo placed his hand on the hilt of his sword and crouched down as low as he could and positioned his leg in a spot that would allow for him to spin. In a split second Kyo would move and spin around in circle, his blade moved so fast that it left after images. Kyo then stood straight up and sheathed his sword. As his sword made the clicking sound of its guard hitting the sheath, all the posts were sliced in half and fell to the ground. Kyo then heard the sound of footsteps and turned to face the entrance. It was probably his Captain finally arriving.

Kaien woke up eairly in the morning to be able to make sure he would be ready to train his Lt in his clan secret sword style of fighting, he was only doing so because he thought that his Lt would want to become stronger and be able to beat Kaien one day and lead the squad perfectly. As kaien approach the training grounds he saw his Lt there already getting some eairly morning training in.

"Hey are you ready to learn the Ogame style"

He said in a kind voice as he got closer and closer to his Lt. Kaien was a little bit eager to teach it to his Lt, he considerd him something of a younger brother. He wanted to make sure that his younger brother was taken care of. He considerd everyone in the squad like a brother or sister and always want to make sure there safe.

Kyo's hunch was correct as he saw his Captain walk into the door. His captain spoke asking Kyo is he were ready to learn the kenjutsu techniques of the Ogame style, one who very few even know. Kyo smiled as he moved a strand of hair away from his face. "Yes I am Captain." Kyo had always wished to someday surpass one of the Captain of the Soul Society, and being that Kaien Asakura was his current Captain that would mean the he was also his current target to beat. Next he would try and become strong enough to take on his former Captain, Soi Fon and prove his strength to her. He knew that if he learned this sword style that his strength would greatly improve and he would be one step closer to reaching his goals. "So what do I do first Kaien-Taicho?"

Kaien smiled at the eagerness of his Lt, he heard him ask what was he suppose to do first and Kaien smiled at him.

"The first thing to do first is listen to what it is about and the small history of it, First since me and my elder brother are the last member's of my clan there is only two people who knows it"

"The Ogame Ryū ("Giant Tortoise Style") - Is A martial arts school that specializes in Battōjutsu. The techniques of the Ogame Style are divided into five forms, each based on a different element (Fire, Water, Lightning, Earth, and Air although they dont have much to do with the elements themselves).

Ogame Ryū's Lightning Katas, which emphasize quick movements and high-speed attacks.

Ogame Ryū's Water Katas, which emphasize unorthodox sword swings to confuse and bypass an opponent's defense.

Ogame Ryū's Fire Katas, which focuses entirely on offense, and emphasizes strong attacks.

Ogame Ryū's Earth Katasn defense.

Ogame Ryū's Air Katas, dodge and counter techniques. Trying to get into enemy's blind spot and attack from there"

Kaien then stopped to see if his Lt was catching on to what he had said, he didnt want to go to fast and he forget thing's.

Kyo nodded his head as his Captain told him that first they would begin by Kaien explaining a few things about the Ogame Style. Kaien mentioned that only two people currently knew the Ogame style, one is Kaien, and the other is aparently Kaien's older brother. But Kyo never knew about Kaien having a big brother, he never really talked about him. Kyo ignored it and would ask his captain about it later. Kyo took mental notes about the information that Kaien was giving him.

After Kaien had finished speaking, Kyo then repeated a shortened version of what he heard. "So it has five different styles. One being Lightning which focuses on speed, Water which is unpredictable strikes, Fire which is pure offense, Earth which is dephense, and air for countering." Kyo smiled at his sensei, "Is that correct Captain?"

"Yes that is correct, now You have to chose one of the five before to start with before I go any further"

Kaien said in a kind he wanderd which one he picked, he hoped he didnt pick Earth because he didnt know the techniques for that one, he mainly knew lighting. Kaien had started to think about his brother, for a second and how he was always better than him and how they use to get into fight and also fight side by side. Kaien smiled while remenising about the old days.

Kyo nodded when he heard his Captain ask him which of the five styles he wished to learn first. Kyo had to think hard about the different styles and as to which one fit him perfectly. He really wasn't much of a dephensive fighter so Earth was out of the question as a starter. But at the same time he wasn'ta purely offensive fighter either so there goes fire. So Kyo had narrowed it down to three choices: the countering style of air, the unorthdox swinging of water, and the lightning fast strikes of lightning. Kyo then thought about his training earlier. He was a master at the quick draw so he figured he start with lightning. "I choose to start with the Lightning Kata."

"Thats a great choice, seeing as though thats the one I know most about anyway"

Kaien said with a smile.

"Okay there are three different modes of the lightning style, first mode is called Raiden Kata (Form of Thunder and Lightning), the second Shidensen (Flash of Purple Lightning) and finnaly the third Narukami (Rumbling God), Ill will start off with giving you a demistration of the first mode and then tell you how you are suppose to do it"

Kaien then Holding the sword with only one arm and behind his head with his knees bent, Kaien will charge towards the opponent with such speed, that he nearly disappears. When in at a super close (nearly grappling range) with his sword at guard he will parry any attack coming his way with the blade of his sword and then counter with the hilt of it straight at the ribs usually braking them. When the opponent is still recovering from the blow, user will turn his whole body and deliver an astonishing in speed and power cut the the neck decapitating the opponent. Within a mere instant the head of the dummy was cut off and a dent into the chest of it was big.

Kyo was wondering a bit about what Kaien had just said, Lightning kata was the one he knew the most about? Did that mean he wasn't a complete master of the ogame style? Kyo decided he would also ask about that later and would just watch the demonstration unfolding before him. Kyo took note of there being three forms of the lightning stle, and watched Kaien perform the first one. Kaien took a wierd stance and held his sword with only one arm and behind his head with his knees bent. It was in a mere second that Kaien seemed to have completely vanished from Kyo's sight and then later on appeared behind him standing in front of a dummy who's head was cut clean off and had a large dent into it's mid-section. Kyo was simply amazed by what he had just saw, that speed and deadly accuracy. It was exactly what Kyo needed. "Ho...how did you do that?"

"Its simple ill break it down for you, 1st mode Lightning god form begins with Holding the sword with only one arm and behind your head with your knees bent, you will then charge towards the opponent with such speed, that he nearly disappears. Kaien in said in one breath, he then started gaspin for a second because he didnt breath while saying that.

Kyo listened intensly as Kaien spoke and explained the technique and how to use it. After Kaien had finished his explaination he figured he would give it a try himself. Kyo walked over to the spot where Kaien was when he demonstrated the technique. Kyo would take the same stance his Captain did. He would hold his Zanpaku-to behind his back with one hand and would bend his knee's slightly. Kyo took a deep breath and then launched himself forward towards a training dummy that was next to the one destroyed by Kaien. In Kyo's charge he vanished, althought not as quickly as Kaien did, and would reappear behind the dummy knee;ing on the floor. The dummies head was cut through but did not fall off like it had with Kaien's attack. It was still attached by a few strands of straw but if that had been a real person they would most definately have died from the attack. The dent though was as deep as the one Kaien made. Kyo stood up and looked at Kaien, "How was that Captain?"

Kaien watched as his Vice Captiantried to do the perform the technique Kaien was able to keep up with his movements seeing as though he had masterd the technique and he counculated where he should be at for it set of movement's. Once Kyo was done performing the technique, Kaien saw that the head was still intact a little, Kaien thought that he did good for his first try. But since he couldnt getthe head to come off he really try it again, but Kaien really didnt have time for that today. But he then changed his mind due to the fact that he was the one who offerd this training seesion in the first place.

"That was a great try, but you should try it again and you can either add Spritual ressure in your blade to help or you can do it without its up to you"

Kaien said kindly, he wanderd how long it would take for him to be able to get the technique to work. It took Kaien two days to get this technique due to his stubbornness as a child.

Kyo looked at his sensei as he told him to do it once more. He even told Kyo that if he wanted to that he could put his spiritual pressure into the blade. That would be the best thing to do, but Kyo wanted to master it without using his spiritual pressure so that when he does it'll be even stronger. Kyo got back to his starting position. He took the stance once more, but this time he gripped his sword more tightly and launched himself at the dummy and vanished instantly this time. When he reappeared he was standing behind the dummy with it's head by his feet and the dent slightly deeper. He turned to Kaien with a smirk on his face, "How as that Captain?"

As Kaien watched his Vice Captian perform the technique it reminded him of him when he was a child trying to learn thiese technique from his elder brother and how he would always not listen and end up almost killing himself, kaien then relized that if he had never been that stubborn mybe he wouldnt be the person he was today.

"That was a great try you beat my record at getting the technique down, It took me two days but unlike you I was a stubborn person, So would you like to move on too the second Mode or would you give up here, but befoe you chose let me rimind you if you are to slip up on from here on out you could kill yourslef"

Kaien said in a very seriuse tone, even though he wasent he just wanted the his vice Captian to take it very seriouse.

Kyo was happy with the praise he received from his Captain. He was surprised that he had managed to learn the move within two tries when it took Kaien a whole two day's. He was then asked if he wanted to move onto the next form or give up for the day. Kaien then warned him that if he continued then he might end up losing his life. But he couldn't let something like that stop him from getting stronger, "Captain even at the risk of losing my life I will continue so that I may become stronger!" Kyo's tone of voice showed that he was determined to do this no matter what. "So let's move onto the next form."

"I expected you say something like that, so the 2nd mode Shidensen (Flash of Purple Lightning)Is The Ogame Ikazuchi katas fastest attack begins with hurling your body to the ground by letting out all of your strength, So with the foward speed of the fall due to gravity, the speed will greatly exceed the opponets expextations. From there you gain extra exceleration and acheive super exceleration by using all of your physical strength. By doing this the fource of gravity and physical strength combined and unless your opponet is a monster or some type of god there s no way they can keep up with you, and from there charge in the shape of lightning bolt and end up behind you opponet and can eith take of the head or cut in two or perice the heart, now watch me"

Kaien said as he begins hurling his body to the ground by letting out all of his strength, hethen performed everything he just said and ended up behind the dummy in which he cut in two.

Kyo listened and formed a mental picture of what he was supposed to do. It seemed to be a crazy thing to do, something no one would even think of. To allow yourself to fall to the ground and use gravity to boost your acceleration speed? It was such an impossible thought that only either a complete genius or total idiot would think of it. Kyo then watched as Kaien performed it. His body fell as if it were a domino coming down and seconds before he hit the ground he saw Kaien launch forward and suddently appear behind the dummy.

Kaien then sliced the dummy in two. Now it would be Kyo's turn to try it, but could he do it? Kyo took himself a deep breath and relaxed himself. He knew that if he attempted this while nervous then he would most definately fail. After calming himself Kyo would make the attempt, he relaxed all of his muscles and allowed himself to fall. When his foot reached the perfect pivoted position he used it to propel himself forward and moved at an amazing speed. Right before being in front of the dummy he turned and ran then turned again creating a zig zag pattern and being behind the dummy. He then did an upward slash with all his strength and his blade cut cleanly throught the dummy.

As Kaien watched his Vice Captian perform it perfectly of of his first try it made Kaien belive thhat he was a nartual at this, kaien then looked back at how he used to always play around with this just to make other laugh and how many he killed using this technique. Kaien hated killing but he knew that he would have to do so since it comes with being a captian of the 13 court gaurd squad's. As kaien remeberd he remeberd that his brother was able to get this off the back while it took Kaien about a good 12 hourse to get it.

"Great Job, your alot better learner than what I am, but here is the part where you have to succesfully use those to modes, on a live target before I teach you the third one and since I am the only one here I guess ill be the test subject and just to make sure no one gets to hurt we will use wooden swords"

Kaien then went into a bag he had brung with him and pulled out two wooden swords. he tossed one to Kyo.

"You can use either one of them first it dosent matter"

Kaien said with a smile.

Kyo was happy to have received more praise from his Captain, he never once thought he would learn these techniques so fast. But Kyo didn't expect to be using them on the Captain. He caught the wooden sword that was tossed to him and would start deciding as to which form he would use first. He figured he would try and use the first form to begin with. Kyo held the wooden sword behind his back with one hand and slightly bent his knee's. Kyo would then put all of his strength into his legs and sprang forward. he would push his body to it's limit and move as fast as possible and vanishing the moment he started moving. He would then put all his strength into the attacks of the first form.

Kaien watched as his Vice Captian got into the stance for the first mode of the Ogame style. Kaien was still impressed that he was able to learn these moves so fast but here is ther real test here is the reason why it Kaien so long to master these moves. kaien brother was a ruthless person who barley showed emotion. As he watched the Vice Captian dissaprear Kaien waited for the man to show himself. Kaien had a good idea where he was at since Kaien hadent tought himeverything there was still one thing that gave kaien the advantage in this fight. So Kaien waited for the attack.

Kyo knew that using this on Kaien would be more difficult than using it on anyone else because Kaien was the very same person who taught Kyo the moves. Normally with this move you would attack the target from the front, but Kyo was going to do something insanely daring and dangerous. In the middle of his attack Kyo would fall straight down and immediatly use the Shidenshin attack while in the middle of the Raiden Kata. Kyo's speed would increase even more and he would do a zig zag pattern and attack from KAien's right side with and upward slash.

Kaien had a smile on his face as he watched as his Vice Captian had combine the two modes. Kaien had never done that before but he knew if he had put those two together it would cause starin on the boyd that would be to much to bear all at one time, and even though the speed of it is faster than the most fastes mode the starin would be alot. Kaien had his sword down almost as if giving up, then Kaien made duck so quick that the Kyo won't even notice it. Kaien will just turn into a wind like form just to appear inside of Kyo guard at a grappling range with his sword up at the Kyo neck.

"What I just did is using the Air Kata and also you should only do that in a dire situation because of how much stress it going to caus on your body since you have yet to be able to master them both and even if you do they still starin your body somewhat too much, You may not feel it now but in a couple of seconds you will"

Kaien said seriousley.

Kyo noticed his sensei apparently drop his guard as if he were surrendering, but Kyo knew his captain better and knew that there was no way he was giving up. The only thing is that Kyo didn't know what his sensei was upto. Kaien did a duck that was too quick for Kyo to notice, and by the time he did it was pretty much already over. Next thing he knew his sensei's sword was pressed against his neck and his sensei spoke saying that he just used the air kata and then proceeded to tell Kyo that the move he just did should only be done if he is in a dire situation because of the amount of strain placed onto the body. Kyo did not know what strain Kaien was talking about but he would soon enough. Kyo suddently felt a powerful pain course through his body and his muscles seemed to ache. Kyo immediatly started to breathe heavily, "hehe, I see. That must be part of the reason why only two people know these moves, some of your clansmen must have died just tying to learn them or from the stress of using them. Am I right Captain?"

"Only one died the rest was killed by him, But lets not focuse on the dark history of my clan lets get you to a seat so you can catch your breath and regain some strength", Kaien said as he grabed the Vice Captian and flash stepped over to a bench. He sat him down and then sat down himself. Kaien then put his hands behind his head and looked up at the sky wishing he was up there flying around with the birds and enjoying being free and not have to do so much work. But he knew it was for the best that he was where he was at.

Kyo's attention was caught by one thing during his Captain's responce. "Him? could he mean...better not to pry too much into his life so I'll leave it alone." Kyo then felt Kaien's body under his holding him up. Then Kyo is shunpo'd to a bench and sat down. Kyo starts to take deep breaths to quickly recover his stamina. After all he still had much more to learn so he couldn't let a little fatigue slow him down.
