Morning Mediation (Open)

Occ: Please knock before entering.

It 5 am when Shiko arose from his sleep to practice his morning mediation. Once he was fully awake he changed into his captain attire and positioned himself to the corner of his office where he mediated. Shiko bent down and sat on a knee pillow. Shiko took his sword and laid it across of his knees and relaxed. He wanted to go visit his zanpakutos world. Here was the only place where he could visit his departed love.

Once entering his zanpakutos world he was knee deep in a glowing pond that laid home to multiple lotus flowers. Shiko's zanpakutos home was permanently encased by the abyss of night. The only light that came to the world was from the water and lotus's.

He knew that Aurora was near by as he sensed her. Shiko walked aimlessly through the pond. Looking for his past love. Hoping to just see him briefly before carrying on his day off paperwork.

As he walked his path came by a very powerful glowing lotus. Shiko picked it up and held it close to him. In hope that now his past love would come to him. Shiko was correct and a image of his love came to him. The grief stricken Shiko eyes filled with tears of sorrow and pain. He only wished the image was really him but seeing his face made him ready to face the world. He knew the reason why he became a Captain was so that no one would feel the pain he felt. He smiled just briefly at his love before putting the lotus back down.

Once the lotus touched the ground the image faded away. Tears grew from his eyes in sorrow knowing the only man he loved was dead. Before leaving his zanpakutos world Aurora swam up to him. Shiko placed his hand under the water and petted his zanpakutos spirit before he left.

He found himself back in his office grieving but what happened tears filled his eyes as he walked over to his desk. Trying to start his days worth of paper work.

The paper seemed to never end Shiko knew this was just a perk of the job and no matter how much it seemed to be it needed to get down. Tho he knew he had awhile to have them all done. He just wanted to get the majority of it down so that he needed not to worry about it. As he was ready through the paper work his mind kept wondering back to the image of his love and he knew he couldn't possible do paper work in this state of mind. He walked over to the window only opening it ajar just so that he could get fresh air he wanted to work out these feelings a little bit before doing anymore paper work.

He knew that in this state of mind he would mess up on the paper work signing somewhere wrong misreading something. Almost anything could go wrong if he started filling out the paper work in this state. He couldn't do that he didn't want to had in messy work when he knew Unohana had taught him better. So he remained seated by the window enjoying the view surprisingly he saw some of his officers up and walking around. Tho he knew it was just the beginning of being a captain he was happy and proud to represent his officers to the best of his powers.

Kojiro woke up with a start. Sliding out of his bed, Kojiro rose. His auburn hair messy from his tossing and turning, his night robe equally and messed up, Kojiro fixed himself as he prepared for his day. It was early, barely any footsteps could be heard as he pulled open his door. Paperwork filled his hands, as he had remembered that last night he started some of the papers. They were mostly thank you's and reports about certain area's of the Seireitei that needed cleaning. His sword, tied to his left side, his Lieutenant outfit covering his usual sweater though his scarf always wrapped around his neck stayed.

It was nice outside. The sun was not completely up in the sky, though working its way towards it. It's goal, to shine its light, so all those who flourish and thrive because of its light can continue to do so without trouble. A thought flew through kojiro's mind quickly, causing a grin to appear on his covered mouth. Walking gracefully towards his Captain's quarters, Kojiro planned to give his taisho a visit.

Arriving on the grounds of where his Captain spends most of his time, Kojiro passed a few lower seated men and women of his squad. They all waved or bowed, paying their respects to him. He arrived at the door and was about to knock when a glimpse of a slight movement inside the room from the window alerted him. Walking towards the window, Kojiro would see his Captain, in all his beauty looking out. Kojiro would walk past acting as if he did not see him there though it would be hard not to notice someone such as Captain Shiko.

It appeared that his plan had worked. Kojiro had walked completely passed his Captain. Though something was off. As he begun to think about it, Kojiro felt an immense spiritual pressure. It was foreign yet familiar. Kojiro pivoted on his back foot to turn to see if it was who he thought it was. The lack of a body confused kojiro a bit, causing a slight puzzled look to cross his face. Though a voice forced him to spin around again, the time spent surrounded by this spiritual pressure now realizing who it belonged to. His voice as smooth as ever, his spiritual pressure more like a comforting pillow than a force that could bring most to their knees, Kojiro attempted to beam a smile at his Captain, though his scarf would block the smile from ever reaching its intended target.

From all the spinning, a few papers made their way from Kojiro's hand onto the floor.

"Wanting to go for a stroll Captain. Was thinking of going to watch the snow fall. I think it's winter in the human world."

Kojiro then bent down to pick up the papers not understanding why they chose the floor rather than staying in the neat pile in his hand.

Kojiro quickly picked up the papers and stood right up. His Captain agreed to them taking a walk though not for too long. Kojiro quietly agreed for he did not want to get swamped in paperwork. A thought crossed his mind as he followed behind Shiko. Wanting to explain his idea to his Captain, Kojiro walked a bit faster, so that they were side by side.

"Maybe we could bring the paperwork with us. Then we could get both down at the same time."

This was a good idea to Kojiro. He did not in-fact mind signed and writing while the snow fell. It would though, be a shame if the paper got wet so they would have to find someplace to stay warm, but still able to watch the snow fall. kojiro sighed, maybe he should just give up on watching the snow fall there would be other times right?
