Morning Glory [Open]

he sun was just beginning to rise in the Soul Society when a raven haired Captain walked out of his manor and headed onto the streets of Seireitei. The air was crisp and cool, and for that Byakuya was glad. Hopefully the day would stay cool, and not be scorching hot like the day before, and the day before that. Heat. Byakuya couldn't stand it. It made everyone sweat, and sweating certainly wasn't attractive. And more importantly, it made it so no one was able to go outside without risking heat stroke. Byakuya had lots of work to do, and he definitely didn't want to get heat stroke. What would become of his paperwork? There was always Lightning, his lieutenant, but he didn't like leaving his paperwork in anyone's hands for very long. Even though Lightning was a good lieutenant, capable of handling the work, he didn't want to take any chances of anything happening to it. Luckily there wasn't any danger of that today. Byakuya had finished his paperwork yesterday (early of course) and turned it in. Today was his day off, much to his relief. And what would he do? That Byakuya didn't know for sure. All he knew was it would be something relaxing.

The Captain walked down the streets, noticing how few people were out. That's why Byakuya loved early morning. Well, that and the cool temperature. Crowds weren't Byakuya's favorite thing, so he enjoyed those moments where he could be alone. Later in the day the streets were always buzzing with shinigami. Byakuya stopped for a moment, and tipped his head back, looking up at the beautiful sunrise. Red, pink, and orange mixed together, with a hint of gold. Byakuya gave a sigh of contentment. It was truly amazing.

Kurai giggled softly as she wandered the streets of the soul society. Her long soft black hair pulled back in a loose ponytail with bangs framing her face. her bright sky blue eyes wandering around as she took in the view of the lovely morning. Her pale,peach toned skin seemed to give off a light glow in the sunlight. She wore her usual shinigami uniform with a sleeveless captain's hoari over it and a purple obi tied around her waist with her zanpakuto strapped to her side. She was only four feet and ten inches tall in height with a slender hour glass figure and seemed rather petite compared to the other captains but she was still strong due to her status. She waved kindly to the passing people and flashed them a happy grin. She had finished her paper work and had took patrolling duty three times in the day.

Even though she was the captain commander she took on the CC's and a captains responsibility as well as checking on the well fairs of the souls that wandered the seretei as well as checking on the shinigami. Kurai hummed softly to herself while picking up a child that had run to her. cradling the child for a moment before giving him a small kiss on the forehead before placing the child back down as she continued to walk with her head held high and a kind smile on her face. as passing people waved to her she waved and greeted them back.

Kurai could remember how awkward it was when she first became captain commander. no one would look her in the eye and they would stammer when she spoke to them. now everyone was used to their captain commander's attitude so it was alright. She stared out dreamily into the morning sun and sighed in content as the beauty of the morning allowed her mind to wander into her own dream land for the small moment.

Suddenly, the moment was spoiled by a high spiritual energy coming toward him. It could only be one person; the captain commander. Byakuya stifled a sigh. Her. He never thought she should have become Captain Commander in the first place after the old one died fighting Aizen. He didn't think she deserved it. But what was Byakuya to do? The others had voted for her. She was now the leader, and Byakuya could do nothing but bare it.

Turning as she approached, Byakuya nodded to her and bowed his head respectively, though it wasn't easy for him.

"Hello, Captain Commander Mizuki," he told her in a rather strained voice.

As Kaien was out to enjoy a morning walk and to enjoy the beatiful sunrise of the morning he could sense two large reitsu, he knew both of the well. One belonging to the Captian Commander and the other belonging to Byakuya Kuchi. He walked over to where they were at.

"Good morning you two, lovely mornining isnt it"

He said in a kind tone. He then turned around to see kids runnig back and fourth playing enjoying the wanderful morning. It was so beatiful it made Kaien want to cry, but he pulled himself together and turned his head back towards the two.

Kurai heard byakuya greet her in a strange tone and she turned her head slightly to see the sixth division captain stand behind her. She smiled politely."Hi Captain Kuchiki-sama how are you on this lovely day?" Despite the fact she was of higher rank than he she respected him greatly because of the fact that she was trained by him while she was a lieutenant. She knew that he didnt like the idea of her being the captain commander but her respect for him didnt fade. As she waited for his response she sensed Kaien's spiritual energy from close by and his own greeting and she grinned."indeed it is Captain Asakura sama!" she said cheerfully while bowing before both of the captains."are you both doing well?"

"Hi Captain Kuchiki-sama how are you on this lovely day?"

"I am fine, Captain Commander, and yourself?" Despite Byakuya's feelings, he wasn't one to be rude to his superiors.

Now another person was coming, Byakuya could feel more spiritual energy, strong energy, no doubt belonging to someone else of high rank. Another person to interrupt him. He wasn't at all surprised when a cheerful voice came from behind;

"Good morning you two, lovely morning isn't it"

Byakyya stifled a sigh. "I suppose so," he answered, turning to nod at the other captain in greeting.

As he heard the captian ask him a question after bowing to them, it made him happy to see she had such respect for him.

"Thanks for asking im doing great"

He said kindly before seeing Byakuya nod at him saying hi.

"I miss seeing this it so wanderful watching this"

He said in a kind voice before bowing back to the Captian Commander.
