Investigation (Kurai)

Adachi saw the bright light at the end of the Senkai Gate envelop him as he leaped into the realm of the living. His first step into Karakura town was a splash. As he opened his eyes, he saw a torrential downpour from the sky. From the nice weather of the Soul Society to the sombre tone of the dark streets of Karakura town, Adachi just knew something was amiss. He stood in the rain for a few moments just to get his hair a tad wet. He then turned to find Kurai standing underneath the ledge of a building in an attempt to avoid getting too wet. "So much for a nice day in the sun, huh?" he said trying to lighten the mood. He walked over to join her under the building. He leaned against the structure and got back to business, remembering this wasn't a recreational visit. "So, what do we do now?"

Kurai jumped out of the gate and looked around as she saw the drastic weather change from when they were in the soul society. She came out from underneath a building and walked out to stand in the ran, not carring if she was becoming completely soaked to the bone. She looked around."right now we walk around karakura town, If we spot or sense anything we'll stop and check it out if it's a soul or a hollow we'll take some samples before taking care of them and if we see a body we take a sample from it too" she said while jumping off the roof and moving from rooftop to rooftop. Loving the feeling of the cool rain fall down on her. She looked over the town from below waiting to sense a spiritual being that wasn't a passing by shinigami or superhuman.

He nodded in approval and followed her lead. He too kept his guard up, on the lookout for anything out of the ordinary. He started cracking his knuckles, because it was something he did whenever he was in a state of anticipation. He and Kurai were walking when suddenly he felt a spike in spirit energy directly behind him. He turned quickly and saw a shadow of a being bolt around a corner. "What the-" he said as he started running toward it. He couldn't tell what it was, but it was definitely suspicious.
