Returning Home[Open]

Like a matured salmon returning to it’s birth place to spawn only to die after visiting it, this is how the captain of the 12th division as he strolled casually through the rukongai district. So where exactly is the young captain going you ask? To the one place that was the start of his life. The one place where those within the district had forgotten about him. Not only that but who he was. So what was this division you ask? The northern twentieth district, most people didn’t realize that he was from this district then again most people didn’t care for the orphans that crowd the orphanage.

However unlike a salmon that returns to it’s birth place to only die afterwards, Yasashiku would not have that same fate. The young captain was dressed in the normal shinigami attire, the only thing missing from his outfit was the zanpakuto...which was safely hidden within his secret chamber. Though this doesn’t mean that he was completely defensively for recently he had created a secondary zanpakuto...that lacked the abilities of the former but could withstand up to most attacks. But don’t expect to find the weapon. For the blade itself was in a seal form. What exactly is the seal form you ask? Well, the simple black choker around his neck could be the weapon for it does have a phoenix pendant on it...one can never tell.

Walking through the rukongai district he caught the glimpse of those within the district as they looked at the captain walk through the area. Barely audible whispers could be heard as some of the residents talk among themselves trying to figure out who is this man...and what connections does he have in this place.

"And, and after that mother..." A certain being wearing white clothing stood in-front of a grave in one of the Rukongai districts, apparently speaking to himself. He stood in-front of a grave with the name inscribed on it, "Sashinga Reira", a woman from the Rukon district. He was apparently speaking to himself about the events that happened to him lately, in the Soul Society and the human world, but the way he called himself didn't really seem as if he's speaking to himself, addressing the one he speaks to as "mother". Perhaps the girl in the grave was actually the boy's mother, knowing the white-dressed man's name was "Sashinga Tenge", a Captain Shinigami from Seireitei.

He spoke very cheerfully, telling the woman of everything that he went through in his daily life as a Shinigami, some things mentioned as fun while some others being complete bothers that he could do very well without. "... Kaien and I managed to capture the invisible man! You should be proud, your own son's doing so well in his years as a Captain." He said, boasting to himself. There was obviously nobody there to really listen to his words except for that one object he stood in-front, informing his mother of what happened to him on some mission with a fellow Shinigami, apparently a Captain as well, though not mentioned to that being.

His clothing consisted of a white robe and black shoes, not taking his haori with him... Or just rather, not really putting it on at this time. The shoes he wore were unique, there were no Shinigami around the Seireitei that could afford such shoes, being in completely opposite colors than the regular socks and sandals used by almost every soldier in this gigantic military force. His robe was the same robe one would wear under the black Kosode and Hakama.

"... So mother... How is it on the other side? I've been a lot since my last visit here... Forgive me, I'll try being more caring towards you, I promise." He said, still looking upon the grave.

Walking through the twentieth district, the young captain would take a detour from the normal route to the orphanage. The captain wasn’t ready to visit the place that he once called home, many years ago. Being an orphan he knew that no one would recognize him for he had changed a lot since those days. His once purple hair was now black...a byproduct of the superhuman drug that flowed through his veins. Not only that he had matured with a well rounded and well respected individual who was apart of the Gotei 13 elite. Though despite having matured his thirst for knowledge was still great and is the burning flame that resides in him. That eternal flame will not perish and will remain throughout his death.

Turning west he would walk only a couple of yards before coming upon another individual, who he recognized as a shinigami captain. Standing afar the captain watched the individual momentarily. Closing his eyes, he listens to the man’s private words to the decease individual who laid in the grave. From what he could gather it would seem there was a great connection between him and the individual. At that moment, the young captain opened his eyes and looked at his surroundings. For some reason the surrounding area was a familiar site for him. From the various smells...to the structure of the buildings everything seemed so familiar to him.

Could it be that he was born somewhere within this vicinity? The thought about him never knowing where he was truly born never crossed his mind till now. For all these years he was happy with the assumption that he was born and raised in the orphanage. Those thoughts comforted them slightly...though it was enough not to wonder about where he was truly born. But why wouldn’t it? One would think his thirst for knowledge would want to answer this question but yet it didn’t. However, at that moment things changed and now he wanted an answer to the question and the best place to start is with the owner of the orphanage.

His limbs would repel him forward walking up behind the individual “Souls of the departed know what we are during. And tend to forgive us more easily then souls of the living. Or at least that’s my opinion..”
